POMPEII A NIGHT EMOTION

Night Tours to Pompeii Ruins

From August 5th till September 27th 2015 it will be possible to visit one of the most beautiful and visited sites of the world also by night; thanks to special lights installations the summer public can take some nighttime walks to the Pompeii ruins, departing from the Amphitheater, which helds in these days in the wooden pyramid made by the architect Francesco Venezia, the exhibition "Pompeii and Europe 1748-1943", till the district of the theaters, through the ancient street of Castricio.

For 20 evenings the visitors can admire at night the excavations, following an illuminated run by the photographer Cesare Accetta's installations. Together with the walks there will be 6 literary meetings inhaugurated on August 24th by the TV writer and journalist Alberto Angela who will present his last book about Pompeii just in the night of the anniversary of the eruption.

The event is promoted by the Region Campania and realized by the Scabec, Campania Cultural Society, in collaboration with the Special Superintendence for Pompeii, Herculaneum and Stabia.

August: 5, 6, 7, 9, 14, 16, 20, 21, 23, 27, 28, 30
September: 4, 6, 10, 13, 16, 17, 18 20.

From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Obligatory booking till exhaustion of the available places.

The walks have the cost of 16 € per person (with reductions and free entrances just as the previous rules in the site). The Meetings will be instead with free entry.
